New website for the TRIL’s project on geologic carbon storage is on air

The CO2SS Project website was launched this week. CO2SS (pronounced “cots”), originally titled “Computational Methods Applied to the Selection and Suitability of Geological Carbon Storage Sites” is a research project focused on characterizing geological structures for CO2 storage. The initiative has a multidisciplinary, inter-institutional and international team and aims to use Computational Engineering to address the topic. More information on: www.co2ssproject.com.

ANSYS CFD software becomes part of TRIL’s facilities

This week, TRIL Lab took another important step towards its goal of being a reference in R,D&I in computational engineering after acquiring an ANSYS CFD software license. Funded by the Research Support Foundation of the State of Paraíba (FAPESQ-PB), the software will initially be applied to analyses and studies on engineering control in hospital environments. Prof. Gustavo Oliveira, coordinator of the H-CFD Brazil project, pointed that the software should boost the group’s research capacity…
