Green Data

Data exchange is growing exponentially. Everyday, gigabytes of data move around the globe at a rate of seconds. However, the downside of maintaining data warehouses and data centers fully operative is the energy cost. Since data flux requires careful thermal management of facilities, much has been done to make data “greener”. In this sense, some of our interests involve: efficient data engineering; numerical simulation of heat flows; less-intensive huge data processing; parallel computing; and optimized software engineering.
